2007 Pizza Poll: The results are in!

Josh Guttman | November 24, 2007

The votes have been tabulated and your voices heard. From the start, this was a race for second and third place. Lucali ran away with best pizza in the ‘hood this year, snagging a whopping 50% of the vote (54 nods). In a move that made this blogger proud, the oldest standing of the bunch, Sam’s, grabbed second. Finally, My Little Pizzeria on Court/Atlantic snubbed The Famous House and Savoia to snag third place. Well done voters!

    Fortuitious juxtaposition.

It’s a short walk around the corner to St. Steven’s, where they can give thanks for their victory with some Holy Communion wafers (which perhaps were the inspiration for the thickness of their own pie).

Seriously, they make a great pie, but at 20 for a wafer-thin pie, it’s not something you can eat on a regular basis.

My little pizzeria is by far the best pie in the neighborhood, the Supreme Slice is where its at, and for 2.25 a slice, it cant be beat. Also, try the sicilian supreme!
